XP Pro Login slow

One machine in our domain running windows XP pro takes ~2minutes to boot from
the time the user enters his username and password information in the login
screen. The machine takes very little time to bring up the log in screen from
power on, and once the machine has booted, subsequent logins take little to
no time at all.
Adjacent machines on the network do not have this problem,
AD is windows 2003 standard server with 3 DC's
DNS is on PDC
DHCP is handled by DC02

I get this problem with my notebook too! I don't know what the system is
doing. I'm not logging into the domain but just local user and I can see
there is very little harddisk activities during the period (a few tenth
seconds with one or few slightly flash with the harddisk light) . I can't
really remember when this happen seems after I upgraded to SP2.

This problem appeared to my notebook too and it is not a member of any domain.
It just stop responsing and seems already hung but will resume normal after
~2 minutes.

This seems to be the exact same behavior I'm observing in this machine. After
~2mins everything works exactly as it should. (I am on a domain though, if
that matters).
