XP Pro, installation

Hi everyone,
needing help i installed xp pro Wenesday, everything went fine,
yesterday after activation fault showed as follows.

" reader_sl.exe - Unable to locate component ". This application has failed
to start because MSCP71.dll was not found.

Re-installing the application may fix this problem. I looked at this
mscp71.dll on another unit , XP Home i don't know if the

contents would be the same. Their were several of these files linked to
various apps installed I thought perhaps i could copy this and paste into
reader_sl.exe.

Hoping to get away without reinstalling so soon.

Uhm - why do you not want to re-install Adobe Reader?

That is what "reader_sl.exe" is associated with and referring to when it
says "Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
