Recovery Partition

Hi everyone,

Bought 2nd hand Dell 4600i 80g sata. 3g cpu, Approx 6mths ago , needing
sprucing up , cleaning interior etc

nice unit for oldie me, previous cpu 800g , £170. since that time i have
added another 80g ide drive taken from old unit.

Added 1g ram. I have recently installed new install of xp home from a
retail cd no problem there.

after install and updates all 79 of them, i made a backup using xp cd backup
to usb 250g external drive

quoting Dell c drive , as i have other backups for other comp, drives etc.
on this drive.

What i am proposing to , or would like to do is make a Recovery partition on
the C drive

i v'e never been down this avenue before. What would i need to do , I
presume apps etc drivers would have to

be images. Came upon Paragon 8 Drive backup recently , looks pretty indepth
to me .

I have downloaded Dell drivers etc, i think this proposition could be useful
in the future

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks

Cheaper way is to create a WinPE bootable partition and be able to restore
the WIm file. --more work but you learn and its free.
