XP Pro installation hanging

Hi,

I was upgrading my desktop from XP Home Edition to XP Pro. It just loops at
installing devices. Its not able to come out of installing devices and
restarts the machine. Should the PC be compatible to upgrade? Any suggestion
to come out of this state. I have tried system restore, no luck.

Try disconnecting any peripherals currently connected to the computer and
see if it can then get by the part of setup.
