xp pro file sharing

I have 3 xp pro pc's networked in a workgroup. I can't go into my network
places and click on the pc and view it's shared contents, it says access
denied. If i go to start, run, then type in \\server\pcarew which is the
folder I shared, I can view it. All pc's are in teh same workgroup and none
have the nic firewall enabled. Any help please?? this is driving me crazy!!

Maybe it's the nic firewall, have you tried temporarily disabling?

If that doesn't resolve the issue, please try your question on the

thanks, but i figured it out, it was simple file sharing being enabled.
