XP Pro and Office 2000 Pro frozen

Since I transferred some programs and files from my old
computer to one I was given from my son using "Pc
relocator" I have been unable to use any of the office
applications. I have lost the original discs. Do I have
to buy new software for the computer or an upgrade or what?

You'll have to purchase Microsoft Office and install it
if you wish to open the files that were originally created with
Microsoft Office. Programs must be reinstalled....they cannot
be transferred. Only files created by programs can be transferred
but they cannot be opened until the proper program is installed.

if you don't want to pay the price for msn office you can
get open office for windows free!
it will open office files and has most of the same
capabilities as office,
put open office in google for a place to down load it.
