xp pro activation

I bought a new computer, it blew up and I had to get all the new parts ( MB, hd and power supply ) because the compant I had the warrenty with went bust. I installed xp pro oem on the drive and put in my25 digit product key ( on the bottom of the case) and everything was fine, is there a limit to how many hardware changes are made, not that I had a choice when many things dies at the same time ?
Now my computer tells me that I have 3 days to activate it, when I do it shows a Activation Error 45092 being that I have exceeded the allowable number of activations, can it only be activated once ? and can I just ignore the warning being that this product key is registered to me ? what will happen when the 3 days runs out

Thankyou

Your installation will cease to work three days from now. You must ring
Microsoft and explain the situation so that they can give you a new code.
