XP printing to an Epson DFX - 5000

I have recently changed from win 98 to a different CPU and
it has XP. Now when I print to my epson DFX-5000 it takes
significantly longer. What used to take 20 min now takes
an hour and I am unable to "USE" the cpu during this time.

Is there a remidy. Can I increase the Print Buffer?

my New CPU w XP has more memory and is Faster than my
previous system ... so why does Print take longer?

From what I've been told about xp and dfx printers, is
that xp wont let them print bidirectioal. If you change
your print quality form letter to draft it will speed it
up.
