I have a Win98SE box on my LAN that shares a HP laser printer. One
particular XP Pro box that has been able to print to this device for some
time now has trouble.

A print job hung and the user of the XP box inadvertently deleted this
printer from Printers and Faxes. Now, every time I try to Add the Printer,
the Wizard hangs just after adding the printer icon. I have to end task.
Following this, the printer icon shows "opening". Clicking on the icon will
hang (requires end task). Right clicking yields no response.

This same XP Pro box can add and print other network printers. Other XP Pro
boxes can still print to this shared printer on the Win98SE box.

They're on the same workgroup in a domain environment.

Ideas?

Thanks. I dropped the driver via the Drivers tab, then invoked the wizard
again. Obviously it needed the driver this time around. And, now it works
great!
