I use BootitNG to resize partitions. I like it much better than PM.
You can move some stuff, but I won't go too far.....
My Documents for instance can be relocated. Right click on it and select
Properties then Move.
This can give you alot of space if you have plenty of stuff in My Documents.
You can uninstall and then reinstall programs onto the other partition.
Don't move any system files, like the windows directory
Not on the subject at all, but I've found Partition Magic 8 with
Windows XP to be the most frustrating version of Partition Magic I've
ever used... and I started at version 2. The ONLY way I've had luck
with it is to run it from the bootable recovery disk. It seems when XP
is running, it just gives me all sorts of errors and doesn't finish
all the tasks asked of it. :/ Also, since Symantec took over, I don't
have much hope for the future of PM, either.
This reflects my experience with Partition Magic.
I used it around version 4 and 5.
It just seemed to be bloated for what it did.
Now that Symantec has it, well you never know.
I find BootitNG www.bootitng.com does everything I require and nothing I
don't.
