Peter

I just used PM8 to partition my HDD to give me two smaller 15gb partitions.
1 for backup and 1 for possible new OS..whenever. I used the NTBackup
utility to backup my entire C: drive to E:. It transferred fine, but I
noticed a sea of red (fragmentation) in the E: drive afterwards. I use
Diskeeper Pro and ran it, but it didn't find any defragmentation! Possibly
because the only thing in there was one solitary .bkf file. Is this
something to be concerned about or should I be using a different method to
transfer my C: drive contents to backup?
Thanks in advance.

Why not use Disk Image, I believe it's called, by the same company as PM8? I
will never trust a backup product that creates only one file... that is the
equivalent of all the eggs in one basket and we've been told enough times
not to do that with them.

Works fine though if I only backup files and folders, which is waht I shall
do in future.
