XP Pagefile Not Recognized

S

Steve C.

Hi,

I've got a 512 MB pagefile on each of my two drives.

The problem is, that even though each drive has a 512 mb pagefile, only the
one on the D: drive is recognized by Windows.

"Total paging file size for all drives" says 512, but when I click Change,
it shows a 512 on each drive for a total of 1024.

Does anyone know why it's only seeing one, even though there are two?

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it - I have see same results with both XP
Pro and Win2k3 SE, with a min 2048MB/max 4096 on each C: and D:, both only
use the D:, neither system never even creates the one on C:, but once on XP
Pro I had a crash (and my systems are set for a "Full Kernel Memory Dump")
it did appear temporarily for a few days.
My theory, they'll use it when they need it.

Well, I am worried about it, because it's not functioning correctly.
I specifically created a second page file, because I have a need for it.

So, obviously I'd like it to be recognized so it can be utilized.
