Stop using standby?
99% of the time this is related to an installed driver that does not support
the standby or hibernate function. Updating them can *sometimes* help, but
not always. If it "used to work", then you may need to rollback a recently
updated driver, or think about any new hardware/software you installed since
that time. On some occasions, software that runs in the background, such as
av software, can cause this problem as well. These are often resolved by
subsequent updates to the definition files the program uses.
