Hi,

Ive got a Toshiba Tecra S1 laptop with Win XP SP2 installed, Intel
PRO
100 network card, PLUS belkin PCMCIA network card

After a disasterous VPN installation, Im now left with a very
troublesome computer.

After installing basic contivity VPN software, could not access
network anymore. No change in any other settings. Tried to remove
VPN,
even after 20mins at 99% of uninstall, never fully uninstalled.
Reboot
and all that, no success. Tried updating drivers for Intel PRO, again
after 20mins never finished updating (should it take this long??)
stuck on e100bmsg.dll. Paid for someone to try and fix it - $100 down
the drain. Ended up buying the Belkin PCMCIA network card - it
installed and worked fine UNTIL I rebooted, now its behaving like the
Intel Pro. I had norton installed, but have removed it while trying
to
figure out what the problem is.

System restore is not letting me access pre-VPN install.

DEATH ON REBOOT? Any explanation?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Luke

You may need to uninstall the VPN manually. Which VPN are you using?
