XP Networking

I've formed a cat 5 cable network bringing together 3 PCs
(2=WinXP and 1=Win98SE). They connect through a D-link
ADSL router. All 3 machines currently share the
broadband line to the internet. However, only 1 of the
WinXP machines and the Win98SE machine will talk to each
other sharing both files and the printer connected to the
WinXP PC.

The rogue WinXP machine won't recognise a MSHOME network
whilst the others recognise that machine (but have no
access permitted). I have rerun the Nework setup disc
several times on each machie but it doesn.t change
anything.

Also, on the rogue machine, the D-Link ADSL router shows
up under "local network" but right-click/properties
indicateS the router is "not currently available" even
though it is using it for the internet connection.

Any clues please?
