Can't network 2 machines in simple config

S

Steven Lyall

I have 2 WinXP Sp 2 machines conmnected by wire to a D-Link ADSL
modem/router.

This appears to be a very simple configuration, but despite running teh 'Set
up a home or small office network' wizard a number of times, I repeatedly
get the folllowing result:

- both machines see the internet perfectly
- each machine 'sees' the other in 'My Network Places', but refuses
permission to view or access its shared folders.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steven
