Simple to do.

First plug in your caples, then you have to create a
workgroup for both computers. like a family the PC's
belong to. Do that in network wizard - go to control panel
and then click on the network and dial up icon and then
click on create set up a home network. In the wizard,
only one machine can have internet connection, the other
will connect from the host PC on the network (Host = one
sharing the internet) after you run network wizard and it
reboots your machines. you have to tell the host PC to
share it's internet (ICS) internet connection sharing. If
you don't see flashing icons on your tool bar at the
bottom, you need to place the MY netwrk places Icon on
your desktop and then click on show network connections.
You should see the icon for your dial up connection and
the icon for your network connection. right click on both
of these and go to properties. on the dial up click on
Share intenet connection and firewall and click the box at
the botm of the screen that says show when connected or
something like that(host PC only) your are done. I think I
covered everything. If I mised any thing, you can go to
microsoft.com and type in ICS or in google search engine.

Have a great day
