XP networked printer problem

Hi,

I have 3 pc's (all running XP) networked via a router. I also have a HP
DeskJet printer/fax combo.

If I connect the printer to the router, allowing all PC's to print to it, I
don't seem to be able to use XP's built in fax software as it can't find the
fax. If I connect the printer directly to one of the pc's all can print and
fax to it. The downside with the later option is that the pc that has it
printed is constantly being interrupted when others print.

Any ideas?

To use the enhance printer unit (for fax) you need to use a HP JetDirect
directly built into the printer. However, HP will not guaranty this will
work.
