We have an NT network, and we have started to add XP
desktops, the image on the XP desktops is basic a regular
install with some extra programs almost no tweaking.
With the new XP macines as an admin I can add a network
printer fine, but as a regular user I get a connection
error (A policy on your local computer prevents you from
connecting to this que) and then I hit OK and the printer
goes onto install fine, I need to get rid of this error
so that it doesn't freak users out. I can log onto an NT
box right beside of it with the same user name and
password and add a network printer just fine. The print
server has been updated with the XP drivers, and no
configuration changes from a fresh install(XP Pro)have
been made to the local policy or anything like that. To
me it looks like it should work just fine, but it
doesn't, Any help is greatly appreciated.
