xp modem graphics

since i installed a new hard drive and put win xp on,my
broadband will only come on if my graphics card is
disabled and my graphics card will work if i dont plug in
my modem. This is on switching on, if i enable my
graphics card when broad band is on it works any help
appreciated. Also kept getting DRIVER_IRQS_NOT LESS OR
EQUAL

Is your modem plugged into a NIC which is plugged into the motherboard: and is the AGP card or PCI Graphics Card also plugged into the motherboard - as opposed to built onto the motherboard?

If so then move that NIC to another PCI slot further away from the Graphics Card.

Your Graphics Card and NIC are having IRQ contention issues, moving them apart generally resolves the problem.

i had a similiar problem, check for new graphics drivers, generally can be
found at www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com
