XP Memory Issues

Does XP not allow certain programs to use more than a
certain amount of memory? Say 600,000k?
 
To Whom It May Concern.

I received a bit ago that my virtual memory was too low.
This is the second tme,before it was a few weeis ago.
Both occured after I installed SP 2. Could this have
any effect.
