Memory problems

Hi, I have 256MB of memory installed on my windows xp. Im
having problems saying that I dont have enough memory to
run certain progams and pages. I dont have much installed
on the computer. It says I have 78%free space. I dont
understand this and I cant find where to look for the
amount of free memory.Any suggestions?

Hi,

Firstly, 256 Mb should be plenty (unless you are doing
huge video editing work)

I would bring up Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and look in
the performance tab for memory usage.

The problem could also lie with a dodgy pagefile.

guys i read your message about the problems with the
memoty in Windows XP, I experience the same problems
currently. Try modifying the Regedit..I you have any
suggestions for me I'd appretiate....thanx
