I went to 'Set Program Access and Defaults' and change my
default email program and it set IE to the default browser
(which it was anywya) and now XP points IE to a non-
existant 'backup' path. I corrected it in the shortcut
properties but now other programs (such as ICQ or Yahoo
Messenger) won't launch IE when I click on links in them.
I'm guessing all other applications are now pointing to
the non-existant directory. I can't find a way within the
applications to point it to the correct IE path. Any idea
why this happened and how to fix it?
The correct folder:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
The non-existant folder it points shortcuts to:
C:\PROGRA~1\backup\INTERN~1\iexplore.exe
