XP machine invisible to router

I have 3 computers connected to a Netgear DG834G wireless
modem router. 2 are laptops with Win2000 (wireless or
wired) one is an XP Pro desktop (wired only).

The router seems to work fine when attached to the XP Pro
machine but the Netgear browser based setup utility does
not display the XP machine on the "attached devices"
section? Both W2K machines do show up - regardless of
whether they are connected by cable or wireless.

Is there anything about the way networking is setup in XP
which would make it invisible to the Router in this way.
I would just confirm that the machines all network
together fine and the internet works OK, just strange and
a bit irritating!

Is the XP machine getting an IP address from the router? If not, try
the tips here:
