I have a D-link router that attaches my home network to the
internet via a cable modem. I attach to the router via
wireless connecttion. The router is 802.11b and my
notebook is 802.11g. My notebook can use the internet but
everytime I try to print from an application it locks the
program up. I can print a test page from my notebook but
nothing from any other application. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.

Try creating a simple document (2 or 3 lines) in Notepad and then try to
print that - does it work?
Make sure that the correct printer drivers are installed (try connecting
the printer directly to install the drivers, then install it at a
network/shared printer)/
Make sure that the default printer is set properly and that the print
spooler service is set properly.

If the above doesn't help you resolve the issue, try this newsgroup:
microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax
