I have loaded XP onto and older PIII laptop with 64MB of ram. When I boot,
the system check confirms "64MB OK". The computer runs very slow and in
checking “My Computer Information – Status†it shows only 32MB memory
detected. How do you set the OS to recognize the entire installed RAM. I know
I know I need more memory and will purchase it, but for now the OS will not
recognize the RAM i have.

I can't say why XP doesn't see all 64MB, but in any case, even at 64MB,
that's way to little RAM for running XP. Realistically, you should have
256MB minimum, 512MB is my recommended configuration for general purpose
systems. With that amount of installed RAM, I'm betting your PIII is not
more than 500MHZ, which also is a pretty low end machine for XP.

I was thinking that XP might not be showing the RAM reserved for use by the
onboard video, but 32MB seems a bit much.
