XP looses connection to server

On a server 2003 domain mostly using windows 2000 clients,
I have one XP Pro computer that will logon to the server
with no problem and can be accessed by all computers
within the domain. Then suddenly it looses its connection
to all computers on the network. Internet still works its
just connecting to other computers does not. I keep having
to logon the XP computer to the server to restore the
connection.

All computers are using static I.P.s, the server is
running WINS and all computers are registered within the
server.

Any suggestions on how I can keep the connection between
XP and the server would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

David

I am having a similar problem with many XP clients. We have a snap (file)
server that clients run executables off of and the connections to this share
\\machine\location is frequently being disconnected. They have to run a
lame batch file to reconnect all their shares many times through out the
day. I suspect something can be fixed on the client XP machines. All our
Linux machines have no problem maintaining a connection to this share for
months on end.
