Under what do I find it in Device Manager? Booting up in regular mode, I do
not see any printers at all in Device Manager (even the currently installed
one that I am using).

1. Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall anything connected with this
printer, if you find it there.

2. Go to Control Panel>Printers and see if the Lexmark is listed. If it is,
delete it.

3. Go to Services (Start>Run>services.msc [enter]) and find any Lexmark
printer services, stop them, and disable them.

Thanks Malke.
Nothing in 1 & 2 (had tried those already), but did find a Service running
called "LexBce Server". Unfortunately, the Description field is blank, so I
don't know what it is for sure; although from the name you might guess it has
something to do with Lexmark... but not sure. Any clues?

Thanks for any help

Search using Google!

(How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html )

"LexBce Server"
Googling...

I see that Shenan has already taught you how to fish, but yes.

We observed that in registry under HKLM\software\Microsoft\Windows NT\current
version\Print\Providers\LanMan Services\Server\
Under this location there were old Lexmark printer driver pointers but no
printer
drivers as we had deleted them, after deleting the entries from above
registry
location the events stopped occurring on the machine.
