R roger Jun 7, 2004 #3 Hi, My user names are no longer recognized and can not logon. Any way around this? Click to expand... Does it log on and then logs off, on a loop? If so Check this post: http://www.mcse.ms/message616432.html If you can find no way of editing the registry outside Windows, try using the recovery console and employing the following command copy C:\Windows\System32\userinit.exe C:\Windows\system32\wsaupdater.exe (this is one line separated by a space; supposing windows is installed in C: and this was caused by blazefind) Description of the Windows XP Recovery Console http://support.microsoft.com/directory/article.asp?ID=kb;en-us;Q314058 Good luck
