XP & Laserjet 5L Web printing

Since switching to a newly purchased, used HP Pavilion 520n I am unable to print pages from my Ebay Internet site to my HP 5L Laserjet printer. On the Ebay page I highlight a list of "Items that have Sold", select print, select "highlight" to print only the highlighted text, and hit "print". The green lights on the printer light up, the lower one blinks, and then the yellow lights go on and it will not print. If I go to Control Panel, select Printers and Faxes, click "open", I get the message that the file is printing when in fact it is not. If I attempt to "cancel" printing it will not do so without unplugging the printer. After cancelling, the printer icon displays "Out of Memory". Then I plug the printer back in, the light goes green, and the printer prints either smeared ink, gibberish in correct size font, or a small portion of the file in 50 point font BUT... If I highlight only a few lines on the page they print out properly. It seems the file appears excessively large to the printer. Keep in mind this worked properly regardless of file size with my old computer and Windows 98. Also note that the printer works with all other programs.... WHAT I HAVE DONE: 1. All troubleshooters 2. Downloaded and installed a new driver for the 5L for Windows 2000/XP. 3. Uninstalled and re-installed the printer port.

The driver default installed memory for this device is 1MB. If you have
more than that on the printer change this in the driver. Also see if the
doc will print at 300x300 rather than 600x600
