XP installation

I had sounds when i was using Windows 98 but lost all
system sounds when i installed XP. How do i get system
sounds back.

The sounds should still be there, but may not be
associated with the same system setup that you had on 98.
Check control panel, Sounds @ Multi-Media and see if you
can associate any of your previous sounds to any of the
Windows systems events.

Go to control panel, click on sounds, choose theme for
sounds.

your sound card's manufacturer?
