I recently had XP installed on my PC (not an upgrade). Files that were stored in folders on the Desktop are now missing . Is there any way to recover them?
Well, if you did not perform an upgrade, then your files would
not be carried over. They were likely overwritten. The only way
to retain files is to select the default "Upgrade" option during setup.
