XP install

Been trying to do a fresh install on XP. I boot up from
the cd, follow the instructions, but when it comes time
to delete the partition with C: on it, it won't let me.
So, as a result I have several copies on my computer.
Any ideas?

I am going through the same problems. The way I found to
work so far is to just go on that partition and Format to
the NTFS file system. Don't do the quick way, just do the
regular format way. Takes longer but does a better job.
Then after it formats(takes about 20 min) then it just
starts installing. I hope that helps.
