I tried doing a full install of XP pro on my system using the 6 disk startup and I reach the point where it asks for the SP1 CD
When I insert this CD it won't recognize my cd and keeps asking for the SP1 CD. I have a Creative 4x CD drive and have been told that xp pro install has the driver for this drive. Can anyone help with a work around for this problem? The light doesn't come on on my CD drive when I insert the SP1 CD and press enter. Is the driver for this drive missing? Any help would be appreciated

Hi Ed

The CD should be bootable, but you may have to change the bootup sequence
via the BIOS to ensure that the CD drive is the 1st bootable one.
