xp ie won't display some images

I'm having problems with my ie displaying images
sometimes on sites. I get the red x icon in the upper
left side of the box where the image should be displayed.
I've tried playing around with the security, privacy and
content tabs under internet properties but end up wit the
same problem. I do have a personal firewall setup and I
even added the site where I am having problems viewing
images, but still get the same problem. Any ideas out
there?
 
You need to install programs :
Acrobat Reader
Java Virtual Machine
Quicktime
Shockwave
