Updated Visioneer 8900 USB scanner softwae downloaded. XP
wont select drivers when scanner is plugged in. Scanner
icon is on taskbar but when selected, wont connect

You may have to help WinXP along and point it in the right direction.
Look for the drivers in the updated Software
and rt click on Scanner in Device Manager if it shows up. Choose
update driver. Then select Install from a list or
specific location (Advanced). Choose Browse and go to the Scanner
driver folder.
