Hi, Vic
If you use the Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.
You can try this menthod:
Reboot your laptop,
Then press F8 key to the Safe Boot Options menu.
Select the Safe Mode.

You can find the Build-in Administrator account on the welcome screen.

BTW.
The Build-in administrator account is very difficult to delete, unless you
use some tools by third party.

Vic, after getting back your computer in safe mode, also be sure to make a
startup/admin disk (or 2). This might help you recover in the future.

I would also imagine a system restore would revive these accounts (which you
should be able to do even from a limited account, I think),

I haven't worked alot with XP home, but I do know they've made it pretty
hard to destroy!
