XP home upgrade will not recognize oem ME on emachine 700

The only cds I have for my emachine etower 700 are
compressed restore CDs. Windows XP home upgrade does not
recognize the oem installed Windows ME os... what do I do
now?

You will need to restore your eMachines system to the original shipped state
and run upgrade from Windows. You only other recourse would be to use a Win
95/98/Me CD if you have one handy.
