xp home to xp pro troubles

I purchased xp pro for my Sony Vaio and have some major
problems trying to install. Right now the installation
process halts due to a Data Error (cyclic redundancy
check) and then states the the set up was not complete. I
can't run in safe mode and delete xp pro , so what am I
left to do. At this moment there is no full operating
system up, as xp pro has not fully loaded. Can I somehow
run in xp home edition?
Please help!! I need to cxomplet my shopping cart or I
will be in huge trouble.

Where did you get the XP Pro CD? That error is usually associated with a copied CD.
