Hello I am using XP Home SP2 and have had this problem crop up 1 times
causing me do a format and complete reinstall. The problem is back and after
getting my box up and runing XP is freezing upon the screen displaying the XP
logo and moving bar. No matter how many times a try to start up normally it
freezes there. If I F8 the start up and select start windows with the last
known good configuration no problem XP starts up. I will mention that I have
just upgraded the cpu and motherboard and when I first started up with no
problem reactivating windows. Windows finds all the new hardware and so one
with no problem will ask me to restart and I back with the freeze the only
way I can start is with the last known good configuration. Thanks for any
