XP Home--not able to connect to computer

Help!

I found my static IP address, enabled the Remote Help Service, and tried
to access. I was told that the computer address did not exist. Do you
have to be a part of a network to do this??

XP Home Edition does not support Remote Desktop. Remote Assistance
will require that you send an "invitation" to a third party to
"assist" you. See
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/howto/gethelp/remoteassist/default.asp
for more information.
