XP Home Edition tells me at every startup "found new printer"

Hi,

I have the following problem with XP Home Edition:

Every time I start up I get a popup "found new hardware:
printer". But I already have a printer installed, which is
functioning fine under its own name.

The really strange thing is that it already gave this
message when I didn't have a printer hooked up or
installed or anything. I then installed the printer hoping
to get rid of the message, but that printer works fine
under its own name, while I still get a newly found
printer message.
When I try to install it through the Hardware Wizard, it
tries to look for software, but says it can't find it and
that the hardware (which doesn't exist!) can't be
installed.

The only thing that's different before I got this "error
message" is that I have built in a new DVD drive on the
IDE3 slot on my motherboard; I also have a CD drive on the
IDE2 slot and a Serial ATA Hard Disk. IDE1 is empty
(neither cd or dvd drives worked on it, so I left it
empty). Everything is working fine.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance,
Leon
