XP Home: Can't switch to another user while i'm loged on myself!

Hi can someone help me solving this problem?
I want to be able to switch to another user, whenever some user is logged
on. When clicking a user on the welcomwe screen, it seams to try to log on,
but shortly after returns to welcome screen.

Hi, We're using XP Home + SP2 + latest updates. all of a sudden we
encounter the same problem. I am wondering if one of the updates from
microsoft created problem. I don't know how to solve, but it sure is
frustrating....If someone knows...please help

I also suspect this problem arose after an Windows Update, but havn't so far
found the solution.
