I have a XP Home Edition PC, which was running fine at SP1a until....
Allowed Autoupdates to install SP2. After rebooting, logging in would
AUTOMATICALLY log me off. (same in Safe, LKG, VGA modes)
Ran a repair option from HOME EDITION CD (Non-SP), and "ACCIDENTALLY"
powered off during the "re-installation" phase and now...it will display XP
HOME EDITION "loading" screen but when it gets to where login should be, all
I have is a BLACK BLANK Screen and I CAN even move my mouse, so something is
missing. (same again in Safe, LKG, VGA modes).
FYI - Re-ran repair option again, but to no avail. Would be nice if I could
trick system into thinking it has NOT yet ran a repair. I CAN access Recovery
Console, but don't know where to go from there.
Would like NOT to have to wipe clean and reinstall.
Any ideas.
