XP Home addition Upgrade Problems

My original OS was 98SE and I bout XP Home Edition Upgrade. I am having
serious problems so I want to uninstall it, but when I go to add/remove
programs it is not there to uninstall. I tried searching all files and it
turned up empty. How do I uninstall the upgrade so that I can reinstall 98SE?

If you didn't make the correct choices when you installed, it's not going to
be there to uninstall. XP is not just a program, it's a whole operating
system, so the uninstall has quite a few requirements for it to work.
Apparently when you installed, you did it in such a way that you can't just
uninstall it.

The only option to get rid of it now is to wipe everything off of the hard
drive and start over. You'll need to do a fresh install of 98 and all of
your drivers and programs.

Make sure you back up your data, as you'll lose everything in the process.

In additions to what D. Currie said, you may have to remove a non-DOS
partition if your XP installation converted the hard drive to NTFS. Do
some studying on using FDISK from a 98 Boot floppy.
