Silverlight upgrade problems

Running Windows XP Pro SP3 with all updates.

Silverlight wants to update but can not find silverlight.msi, so it quits.

Silverlight version 1 shows in add remove programs, but can not be
uninstalled because it can't find silverlight.msi

Have searched all drives & partitions and it's not on my computer.

How can I upgrade to latest version?

Silverlight is downloaded as an .EXE file, not .MSI - you're looking for the
wrong thing.
