Silverlight update problems

Running Windows XP Pro SP3 with all updates.

Silverlight wants to update but can not find silverlight.msi, so it quits.

Silverlight version 1 shows in add remove programs, but can not be
uninstalled because it can't find silverlight.msi

Have searched all drives & partitions and it's not on my computer.

How can I upgrade to latest version?

You can always download & install the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility &
delete the Silverlight entry. Then download & install the latest version of
Silverlight

Cleanup Utility:

I have the same problem, except, my installation and updating of silverlight
looks for the silverlight.msi file in my f-drive temp file, which is
rediculous because I don't have an f-drive temp file

I tried this recommended cleanup file download, but it failed

If I could simply download silverlight.msi, I could direct the failure to ti
and perhaps that would work

After failing with this recommendation I searched for the msi file and it's
still not present

Is the msi file available for download by itself?
