Successful, critical Silverlight updates keep on being reinstalled

Since installing Microsoft Silverlight on my 64-bits Vista platform I keep
receiving daily "critical" Silverlight updates that are all "successfully"
installed
I have tried to send an error report about it to Microsoft support, but that
yielded no response. So I wonder if I should simply remove Microsoft
Silverlight from my machine, altogether?

Here's my update history for the last month:

I have Silverlight here, and no such problem. Try asking this in the
group where the update gurus hang out:

Jason Stevenson (HNI Corporation)

I had the same exact issue. The problem was caused by multiple previous
versions of Silverlight previous installed.

I simply went to the computer window and clicked on Uninstall a program.
Then found Microsoft Silverlight in the list and uninstalled it.

Then when you run the update, or do a manual install it will stop bugging you.

Good Luck!

Jason
