XP Home Activation will not work

S

steve

I already activated my copy of xp home and am still
getting prompted to activate it, i get the message that
says your grace period has expired. So I click on it
again, and I get a window that says "Windows is already
activated, please click OK to continue". So it knows that
I already activated it, however it keeps on asking me to
activate it still!! ARGH!!!! Can anyone help???????

Possible Resolution:

Go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Then go again to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and hit enter again.

Apparently, and I can't say how, the above files became unregistered.
