XP Guest accounts?

I read in another posting that to enable two networked XP PC's to see each
others drives and files, the Guest accounts need to be active and not have a
password.
Can you help me locate the setting for this?

Problem
I added an XP PC to an exisiting and working XP/ME network. As the new PC
could not see or be seen on the network I ran Network wizard (on the working
XP) and created a disk which I put in the new XP. The result of that is the
new XP and the ME can see each other but the original XP cannot see either
of the others or be seen by them!
All PC's can access the Internet still.
I do hope this is a simple problem.

Thanks

The guest acount has nothing to do with this.
How do you connect your PCs to each other ?
If you use a router or a switch make sure they all use DHCP (Auto IP), and
the DHCP in the router or switch is enabled. If you persist using fixed IP
make sure not to have the same IP for the machines.
Also, sometimes it can take few minutes till the newly connected machines
see each other.

Thank you.,

I have not changed either of the original XP or ME PC's from when they could
see each other (except running the Network wizard on the XP to obtain the
disk to use on the new XP).
They all get their IP's from DHCP on the router.
As I say they can each still access the Internet thru' the router (I do not
use ICS)

Try giving them fixed IP, making sure to give a unique IP to each one of
them.
